The end to 2011 was Bittersweet. I feel like I've made some real improvements artistically, though. Hopefully this continues through 2012.  My goals are to improve enough on anatomy so that I do not always require a reference for everything. If I could just put what's in my mind on paper!! My first artwork of the year was all constructed from mind, with light references towards the theme of the game, Tera, to which it pays homage. Besides that, nothing!

I've been studying very hard and trying to improve. Truth is, I didn't even realize I *could* draw until a couple of years ago when I got my first tablet. So, I'm really hard on myself. I don't feel like I'm painting at my real potential. I am a self-learner, so I studied Frank Frazetta's work for inspiration. I feel like I have improved, and I'm starting to "get it". But, I'm switching software. Photoshop doesn't have the natural feel that Corel has for me, so I've been painting my more recent stuff in Corel. I do have some new stuff to upload here, and I will. As soon as I finish this one thing!!

Everything I try to draw/paint these days goes into the scraps folder. I just can't come up with anything I'm happy with. I think it's mostly because I'm just not improving at any real rate that I'm satisfied with, or a lack of inspiration or both. Anyway, this is why I haven't posted anything new.
